About Us
KS Appraisal is a real estate appraisal and consulting firm established in 1993. Our main office is located in Mesa, Arizona. We specialize in commercial, industrial, and multi-family appraisals throughout each county in Arizona. Coverage of single family residential properties includes Maricopa, Pinal, Pima, Gila, Navajo, and Apache Counties. We also provide counseling and consulting services for specific client needs.
Our organizational philosophy is to offer the highest level of service and performance to our clients. We provide clear options and definitive answers on real estate issues and questions. We are continually upgrading our computer equipment, electronic cameras, software, and the education of all the employees of KS Appraisal to provide our clients with professional appraisal at a competitive fee.
Commercial Appraisers
Kurt Kleinman, MAI, founded KS Appraisal in 1993 and has been involved in the appraisals of all types of commercial properties since 1987. Having completed thousands of appraisals over the years has given Kurt a wide base of experience and knowledge of Arizona markets and value trends. Kurt is a member of the prestigious Appraisal Institute and is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. It is Kurt’s prime objective to understand and meet the client's needs and goals in both simple and complex appraisal assignments.
Tom Davis is a Certified General Appraiser and has been involved in real estate and appraisal services since 1986. Prior to working at KS Appraisal, Tom worked within a financial institution for over eight years and has an excellent knowledge of appraisal review and an understanding of lending requirements in the appraisal process. Tom provides a wide range of commercial appraisals and reviews of complex properties.
Brian Mills is employed as a commercial, industrial, and multi-family property specialist for areas outside of the Phoenix Metropolitan area including the following counties: Yavapai, Coconino, Gila, Navajo, Pinal, Cochise, Pima, La Paz, Mohave, Apache, Graham, and Santa Cruz. Brian began working in the appraisal industry in 1998 and has extensive appraisal experience, knowledge, and understanding of rural properties in Arizona. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute, currently pursuing the MAI designation.
Court Kleinman is a Certified General Appraiser in the State of Arizona. Court joined KS Appraisal in 1999 and his experience encompasses a variety of property types including retail, office, industrial, multi-family, medical office, charter schools, restaurants, self storage facilities, hotel/motel, as well as vacant land. Court is a native to Arizona and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Arizona State University in 2004. Since that time Court has worked in real estate valuation. His professional experience includes assignments throughout Arizona, with a focus in the Metro Phoenix area.
Jared Kleinman has been employed at KS Appraisal since 1999. Jared started as an administrative assistance primarily working alongside the residential department assisting with clerical assignments and appraisal report development. In 2002, Jared transitioned to the commercial department under the direction of Aaron Sessions and Kurt Kleinman. Over the next several years, Jared was trained in commercial appraisal practice, narrative report writing, research and development skills, and competency in appraisal techniques of various types of properties. Jared is a Certified General Appraiser and specializes in retail, office, industrial, hotels & motels, and service stations in Maricopa, Pinal, Yuma and Pima counties.
Ryan Melzer has been a part of KS Appraisal since 2000. His areas of expertise include car wash facilities, multi-family, subdivisions, gas station, educational properties, retail, office and vacant land. Ryan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University. Ryan has focused his work experience in Maricopa, Pinal and Pima counties.
Residential Appraisers
Brad Kleinman was employed by Sell Huish and Associates in 1993. He received his appraisal license in 1995 and has extensive experience in appraising various types of real estate in the State of Arizona. This includes vacant land, improved subdivision lots, single-family homes, multi-family housing, and condominiums. He is one of the owners of KS Appraisal and is a Certified Residential Appraiser. He predominantly covers Maricopa and Pinal Counties and has actively appraised HUD REO properties over the last 10 years.
Matt Evans has been appraising residential real estate since 2001. He is a Certified Residential Appraiser with experience appraising all types of residential properties, including: single-family homes, condominiums, manufactured homes, and multi-family properties. He has experience in Maricopa and Pinal Counties. He also has experience appraising in Gila County, specifically in the Globe-Miami market area. He is FHA approved and also speaks Spanish.
Jonathan Bateman is a Certified Residential Appraiser who began working in the appraisal industry in 1998. John earned a Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and has extensive experience in appraising various types of real estate in the state of Arizona including vacant land, improved subdivision lots, single-family homes, multi-family housing, and condominiums.
Clinton Caffrey is a Certified Residential Appraiser with a Bachelor’s degree from Montana State University. Clinton began appraising in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona in 2006. He has experience in appraising rural and complex properties including, homes on acreage, log homes, and manufactured homes throughout Navajo, Apache, and Gila counties.
Support Staff
Clint Hardison and Steve Wilkes are both in the final stages of becoming Certified General Real Estate Appraisers. Office managers Kara Gardner and Sara Buckley provide printing, secretarial, and job management support.
